My little one the blame is not yours

They say he was Syrian,
They say he was Kurdish.
But no matter what,
A child to a mother is still one to cherish.

A little boy was found today on a seashore.
I could only imagine what might have happened before?

What did you hear little one from your mother before she let go?
How did you feel little one when the water dragged you below?
How did it feel being in the sea all alone?
Looking around for someone, but found you were on your own?

My little one the blame is not yours,
It’s the people in the world who close their doors.
They do not wish to bring “negatively” into their lives,
So they don’t care, as long as they're still survive.

My little one the blame is not yours,
Many stories have come from previous wars.
The world will care for only a few days,
For the media always chooses what hides and what stays.

My little one the blame is not yours.
